Other times he's just a good player. I'm not knocking him, but to say he can be better by bringing in someone else in a 3-4 is a stretch. A LONG stretch. I believe he is being used to his abilities currently.

I don't think he has been. He never came across to me as a DE in a 4-3 scheme. I always thought he was better suited for pass rushing OLB in a 3-4 scheme. He's never been in that system. He's never been more than a rotational player.

RE: Paul Kruger
I've always wondered if the way we use Abe: moving him around the line to maximize his opportunities for sacks has hurt the other DE's we've brought in. There was word that Edwards had trouble rushing from both sides. It's just weird that Sidbury had 4 sacks in a limited role one year then the next year he's not even dressing. I wonder if there is something we are doing wrong with our ends.

I remember hearing that Edwards was only good rushing from 1 side. But you do make a good point. Not all DE's are good enough to play on both ends like Abraham. It's like a cornerback or a receiver that is much more comfortable and better playing on one side of the field.
