Why do you "feel that trying to end careers" had anything do do with what was going on? There is a huge difference between trying to knock the crap out of somebody and trying to end a career. Every defensive player tries to knock the crap out of an opponent on every play in every game. The problem with the Saints is that their players were rewarded for doing that. There is no claim and no evidence shared that the Saints EVER tried to end someone's career.

I agree complete that it would be vile and atrocious to intentionally try to end a career. I do not believe any player, bounty or not, would ever do that.

Well I would believe that there are a few...very little...players that would go out there trying to intentionally end someone's career. For whatever reason but I learned a long time ago to not underestimate the thoughts of some people. There are some sick people out there.

While I do think this is a possibility, I agree that this was not the intent of the bount...DIRECTLY. Part of the bounty was to knock players out the game or get them carted off the field and INDIRECTLY this could possibly mean the ending to someone's career. So in actuality I see both of your sides.

Paying for injuring other player's might as well be. Not many players have been injured enough to be carted off and it not effect their career somehow.

Why was "carted off" paid less than "knocked out"? A redskins player said carted off meant needing help to get up and off the field. It didn't literally mean the golf cart.

Doesn't really matter....either way being carted off or knocked out (whatever that means) there is a possibility it could involve a career ending injury. And its condoned by payment for these types of things
