NFL Mike Mularkey is an candidate for the Jags Head Coaching job

Radical, how about this. If Ryan isn't able to show that he can more consistently hit those deep throws wouldn't it be the OC's job to call less of those deep routes and more intermediate/short routes?

So Radical if you are the voice of reason in why it is never the FO, then what needs to get done. You say the pass rush is fine, the running game is weak, BUT the secondary needs work. I'm missing something here. Beef made some major points and #1 and #2 are not only good reasons, but it backs up why I say we need a better pass rush. QB's are human and after getting crap kicked around they will start to panic. That's just nature.

Hilarious. The same people who were crucifying Mularkey last season for never attempting to stretch the field are now crucifying him for attempting to stretch the field.

It's almost as funny as people blaming Ryan's errant throws to receivers who are running wide open down the field and the inability of those receivers to catch passes that hit them right in the hands on poor route design and predictable formations.

Gotta love agenda posters.

Then we're right back to the, "we need to go deep, Mularkey ain't calling deep passes" bullshit. NFL QBs have to deliver on those wide open deep passes. These aren't 70 yard thread-the-needle passes, they're 30-40 yard passes wide the fuck open. We either start connecting on those, or someone is going to get axed, and it's not Mularkey.

I make one post an I'm labeled an "agenda poster"? Come on now.

I'm no agenda poster. I'm not swift, phalcon phil, etc.

Everybody takes some blame with how our offense has under performed IMO this year. I'm just disagreeing with Radical that MM is completely free of blame.

Don't take Coop so personal. Cool guy, but I can translate what he said.

Can you please be a bit more specific in your post? Its pretty broad. Thanks.

I don't believe Rad ever stated or even implied that. I know I don't feel that way. Sure, Mularkey has made his share of bad playcalls this season. No OC hits every single time. But he is not the reason our players are not executing consistently, as some would have us believe.

Anyway, if you are not one of those who screams at the TV any time a running play is called out of a running formation on a favorable running down, then accept my apology for lumping you in with that type.

What needs to happen?

Ryan needs to work on his deep ball accuracy, our WRs need to get their head out of their asses(especially with the drops), our line needs to quit having penalties at the worst times, and the RG position needs to step up. On defense, we need to get healthy, and we need to start causing more turnovers. We do that, and we're golden.

We aren't in total meltdown mode like I've seen many suggest. We aren't lacking talent, and our coaching isn't an issue. It's the little things killing us on offense, and the injuries killing us on defense. I have no doubt in my mind we hold them to 7 points or less if we had our full starting defense playing this past Sunday.

Yep. That is precisely what I was trying to convey. Angel
