RE: Marques Colston Breaks Collarbone
Quote:Healing time varies based on age, health, complexity and location of the break as well as the bone displacement. For adults, a minimum of 3–4 weeks of sling immobilization is normally employed to allow initial bone and soft tissue healing, teenagers require slightly less, children can often achieve the same level in two weeks. During this period, patients may remove the sling to practice passive pendulum Range of Motion (ROM) exercises to reduce atrophy in the elbow and shoulder, but they are minimized to 15-20 degrees off vertical. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clavicle_fracture Quote:An adult who has stopped growing may require 8-10 weeks to heal. http://www.ssoc.co.za/clavicle-fracture.html

RE: Marques Colston Breaks Collarbone
Charles Rogers broke a collarbone in week 5 of his rookie season and missed the rest of the year. I don't see Colston coming back in "4 weeks".

RE: Marques Colston Breaks Collarbone
Just try to come back in 4 weeks... go ahead... miss the entire season when it breaks again.

RE: Marques Colston Breaks Collarbone
Glad it happened to the Saints instead of the Falcons, but I hate to hear anyone getting hurt.
Hope he heals well, and we can beat them with him in the lineup, because I really hate to hear, "But you couldn't have won except for him being hurt....." which is total BS. Ignorance can be educated.....Stupidity is to the bone. |
