RE: Mark Sanchez vs. Tim Tebow

Most players do get better after their first year of being exposed to the NFL speed, so pretending his bad completions last year doom him forever when he did have splashes of great play (Steelers) seems to be an unlikely argument to put any weight in. Other rookies aren't held to your standards. I'm not pretending...lol. I would take him at H Back, but its not specifically about his completion percentage. Tebow was working on his throwing mechanics his whole rookie season and all the way into games beyond him getting his starting role. He has yet to get that fixed....I'm not holding other rookies to different standards, which is some random assumption you put out there btw. If you can't get your throwing mechanics situated, then I don't see the point of you being a QB. I don't see Tebow being the trendsetter for QB's with bad mechanics having consistently successful careers as a QB. Thats where practice comes into play. Also what happens when NFL defenses actually fully figure Tebow out. The rookie year helps Tebow out more than it hurts him. He sucked against the 31st or 32nd ranked defense (Patriots) twice. |
