i think the guy is a good bit of a media sensation.

The thing is, when those guys go in their to vote, with no punters being in the HOF, there really is no measurable argument you can make at all for adding him.

Unless general perception that he was the best punter of his era is a reason. It's a pretty weak case though.

Ever see Joe Namath's horrendous career numbers? He shouldn't even be allowed a ticket in to the HOF. But he was the first to throw for 4000 so that must mean something.

Not having punters in the hall of fame is ridiculous. Same for kickers. There is just one pure kicker. You can't win without either one.
