Just saw that the Eagles are definitely out of the Lofton talk with the trade
For DeMeco Ryans. If he's healthy.... damn.

All they gave up was one 4th round pick and they swapped 3rd rounders. I'm guessing there is something fishy with DeMeco Ryan medical stuff.

I think it was a cap move plus he was drafted to play in a 4-3.

He didn't really play well in Wade Phillips' new system last season. He didn't play horrible though, just serviceable. And I believe that for the money they were paying, they decided to just cut ties. At any rate it was a great deal for the Eagles. He'll probably return to being a great MLB. A position the Eagles were in desperate need of. Who were they starting there? Still Casey Matthews?

Wasn't he coming back from an Achilles injury lasy year as well though?
