I think Jim Irsay fell back off the wagon
So the "huge trade" he's been tweeting about was a 2nd round and conditional late round pick for Dolphins CB Vontae Davis. It should be noted that Davis just lost his starting spot to Richard Marshall. Not exactly a blockbuster trade there chief.
This . . . is a terrible trade. And I think it's incredibly tacky that Irsay tweets so much about the Colts. He's like a slightly more coherent Roddy White. Except he's a billionaire and owns a NFL franchise. |

RE: I think Jim Irsay fell back off the wagon
Are you kidding? This is a huge steal for the Colts. Davis has so much potential. To get him for just a 2nd round pick is a steal. He always played well during the season, and he's a great press coverage corner. He's had a horrible camp, but he should return to form soon. I would do that trade any day. The Dolphins are the guys who fell off their rockers. It's a bad trade by them.

RE: I think Jim Irsay fell back off the wagon
wasn't it this time last year that davis was proclaiming himself and the other phins corner the best CB tandem in the league? also, I seem to remember a lot around the Falcons boards talking about drafting him. He's had a bad camp, I think maybe they're giving up on him a little too quick.
Chew on THAT, Petunia!

A better trade, (and one that would have warranted Irsay's twitter bonanza) would have been a 1 and a 4 to Jacksonville for MJD and his hold out. ![]()
