RE: How About Jerry Jones Trolling His Own Quarterback??
I have no problem saying that Eli is a better QB than Matt at the Moment. But watching our guy and Eli I feel Matt was the better QB in his first 4 years than ELi regardless of the SB win.
Further to this, if you are wondering why people get on your back it's because in the midst of this you throw at inflammatory remarks such as Newton being better than Matt and Smith being better. Being reasonable again Newton could be better when it's said and done if he maximises his potential, but he isn't a scratch on Matt as a QB right now. Furthermore Smith might have gotten to the NFC championship. But he wasn't the reason they were there. They could have gotten there with Kaepernick using the formula that they did. That was game management at its finest. Limiting his mistakes keeping from being forced to take low percentage plays, it worked this year, that can't work next year. Playbooks like that get suffocated by Defenses over time. Ours with Atlanta over the last 4 years has been similar except we have a better QB and players to maximise the potential of that offense. I said shut it down because the discussion was inflammatory and stupid on both sides of the argument. Talking football means talking sense not throwing stuff out to get a rise, including being disrespectful to the QB of the team you are supposed to support. Personally it doesn't bother me that much because as I said after the ny loss. People here but worse so on AFMB. Seen to have the Falcons at the centre of their life and the display of such high high emotions regularly not at times of intensity but just all the time, does not bode well for a persons mental and emotional state. I see such altercations as pointless. I'm always happy to talk football but I am a genuinely and generally a no frills type guy when it comes to sports, forget the bullshit and just play or talk about it with the naked truth of the matter. |
