RE: Holy Shit Saints
Loomis is going to be looking at a Pete Rose style lifetime ban. sadly, this wont show up on the field for a few years, but yeah, dude has zero future left ahead in the NFL, I hope he invested well. I feel sorry for his wife, but it looks like it is time for a mandatory career change, no way this piece of shit ever makes it within eye sight of an NFL stadium again. Guido, you want to try to put as much distance between this malignant cancer and your team as possible. I know it might be hard, but don't jump on the grenade, this dude is seriously fucked up. He has mental issues, and your best course of action is to try to distance the Saints as far as possible from this psychopath.

RE: Holy Shit Saints
Guido. Remember when I said the media shitstorm would continue, and grow, as time wore on to make this whole situation in NO worse? Remember when I said we saw it in Atl after Vick, and that you needed to expect worse as the season grew closer?
Then remember when you said the story would blow over in a few days and be a non-factor? I think you can at least, even in your denial, admit that I was right in my warning to you. Media are like vultures, and the start of a story is never the end of their long tail snooping for dirt and angles to explore. You have a team of reporters now camped in NO fighting to uncover the dirt that will make their career. This will keep getting worse. I warned you, and you dismissed me. You should have taken my warning. It was friendly. Formerly SBC Falcon

The only thing Loomis is going to be looking at a huge lawsuit against ESPN. Regardless of what you here on ESPN Loomis remains one of the most respected GM's in the league. And why the hell would I distance myself from my team? Saints Fan Since 1967

True fans don't leave over crap like that (out of the fans control). But, to say a lawsuit is coming... meh... most people in the media are smart enough to not put their own career in jeopardy. I'd venture to say that there is some truth to this story. Cheating is cheating, whether it be 10 years ago or yesterday. The NFL will investigate.

If the Saints want to piss their money away on a futile lawsuit, I say more power to them. They might get the honor of paying their own legal fees and ESPN's legal fees to boot. |

I would think that the supposed unnamed, anonymous source would be the one targeted by the lawsuit, as well. ESPN's Outside the Lines covered their asses by saying alleged every other word and adding that there is no indication that Loomis ever actually listened into the device or that any information was ever relayed from Loomis if he had listened. In fact, Colin Cowherd just made an announcement from ESPN saying that their reports are not implying that any device was actually used to listen to opposing coaches. ESPN is trying to cover their butts. Saints Fan Since 1967

RE: Holy Shit Saints
Since ESPN did not make this up and it the details were confirmed by the US Attorney's office I would say there is little ground for a lawsuit.
It's not like Loomis and the Saints don't already have a short history of lying to the NFL or anyone else. 1000% inaccurate sure and there was no bounty system in place. PS nothing can be 1000% that doesn't make any sense. |
