You still say it will be forgotten?
Sig bet! Send me the video coverage from any nationally televised New Orleans regular season game this season where Peyton, Williams and the Bounty Gate ordeal isn't mentioned and I'll post the sig of your choice for one whole year at seasons end... If you can't you will carry the sig of my choice for one whole year. If you don't feel confident to make the bet then retract the "It will be forgotten" spin. |

Yea this crap is not going to be forgotten anytime soon. In nearly EVERYone of our games Vick and Petrino are still being mentioned over 4 years after it and that was just a single player and a single coach. The Saints entire Franchise is guilty and there is no question to the guilt. The Saints are going to be remembered as the white sox of the NFL

The story itself will be over. The Vick case lingered for quite a while. It went far beyond what he did. It became a huge nationally debated issue split down racial lines. It was the lead story on national news for weeks and was nightly news for many months. I would consider the sig bet, but even though I watch every Saints broadcast (Sunday Ticket) I have no idea how to send it. I do have the built in Directv DVR, but I didn't know if there was a way to export it. Saints Fan Since 1967

Saints games are going to be closely scrutinized this season. If there was ever a season when other teams could not get away with anything it will be this one. Besides, other teams have far less of a problem with whatever went on than do their fans or the media. As much as you would wish some sort of romantic restitution for supposed injuring blows, it just isn't going to happen. Saints Fan Since 1967

RE: Great read from a Falcons Fan - The Fear Of 'New Orleans Vs. The World'
Well for sure this year the Saints will NOT benefit from the katrina refs, that alone means at least 2 more losses per year. The idea of Saints fans STILL trying to blow this off is just complete denial. The Saints are the White Sox of the NFL, the franchise is forever tainted.
Every team will be gunning for them, no more Katrina refs, no head coach, lots of player suspensions, to try and just blow it off is completely retarded. Seriously just stick to being an LSU fan for the next few years cause it is going to get ugly for the Saints, and they deserve it. Let me reiterate this THEY deserve it, the entire franchise from top to bottom broke the rules, there is no denial of guilt, this is as open and shut a case as you will ever get and the Saints are going to pay for it. |
