Great NFL Sunday
Based on the matchups on paper and how these games pertain to the playoffs this could be the best Sunday of the season.

Packers (9-4) at Bears (8-5) - Packers clinch the NFC North with a win.
Giants (8-5) at Falcons (11-2) - Giants fighting for their postseason life with the Redskins and Cowboys hot on their heels and the Falcons could clinch the #1 seed.
Broncos (10-3) at Ravens (9-4) - Playoff seeding up for grabs here. Before the Bengals won last night the Ravens had a chance to clinch the AFC North. They'll have to wait another week now.
Colts (9-4) at Texans (11-2) - The Texans clinch the AFC South with a win and the Colts clinch the AFC South if they win out.
Steelers (7-6) at Cowboys (7-6) - The loser is all but eliminated from the playoffs.
49ers (9-3-1) at Patriots (10-3) - A great matchup on paper.

RE: Great NFL Sunday
We cannot clinch the #1 seed unless SF loses to NE they sit at 9-3-1 they win out that is 12-3-1 which is > 12-4 in fact I think we lose have the tiebreaker to GB is they win out and go 12-4 because of conference record....and we only win 1 out of 3. We need 2 wins for #1 Seed. and I think after this weekend 1 win will lock us into a bye week as I believe SF will lose to NE.

We could still clinch by winning and those two teams you mentioned losing tho. That would be SF losing to NE and GB losing to CHI. So the OP is right.

Those two games including our own could go either way, which is why this is a great NFL Sunday.

Exactly. Falcons win and losses by the Niners and Packers and the Falcons clinch the #1 seed.

RE: Great NFL Sunday
Bottomline...we need to take care of our own business....and not leave anything to chance. I guess you did say "could" clinch....I think more likely if we win SF loses we clinch at least a first week bye...and that would be nice if we only had to win one of two of the last two games...

I think if we win this week we should win against DET and lose to TB since we rarely lose back to back game....lol (actually I don't think we should do that as I think we need to take every effort to make sure our offense and defense is in sync......I am getting so nervous for a let down and we have so much talent we just need it to all come together by week 17!!

RE: Great NFL Sunday
This is the latest date in NFL history with at 6 least games between teams with winning records.

RE: Great NFL Sunday
So if the giants lose out. Does that make our schedule look even easier?
