It was a joke dude. Superstitious people don't get irony.

I know it was a joke, but what he said basically after being asked that question was, "First of all I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." Then he moved on to what was going through his head.

It's not the first time he's done it, and it was a spur of the moment, off the cuff joke that popped in my head. I love absurd humor. Not everyone's cup of tea, so what? My joke was no more absurd than the thread title, which is also meant to be a joke. I'm not trying to indict Tim Tebow and I don't really care what he really meant. It came off awkward. If he was muslim praised Allah at that moment, Fox news would've had an all day diatribe about Sharia Law taking over the NFL.

That said he should be mocked and ridiculed simply for being a Florida Gator.

Once again, it was a joke. That's all. Not meant to be anything deeper than that. If you are offended, too bad.

Funny, there are actually real explanations that doesn't involve superstitional beliefs.

No, you missed my point. The fact that he believes so intently can give him the inner strength and focus. It is much like the ability to walk on hot coals. If you can will your mind to allow it, you can do it.
