I saw many throws where I said that would be an interception and then guys (mostly Boldin) would make the catch and it left me shaking my head in disbelief. Then the announcers would start talking "oh what a great throw by Flacco. He put it in a perfect spot to where only his guy could make a play on the ball." People keep talking about him having 0 interceptions but which pass defenses did he play against that were worth a damn? He had 11 TD passes. Here's where the defenses he faced ranked in giving up TD passes. Colts - 15th (23) Broncos - 17th (25) Patriots - 21st (27) 49ers - 7th (19) (And they clearly weren't the same defense in the playoffs that they were for most of the season. Ryan lit them up with almost 400 yards and 3 TD's.) People talk about Flacco being so much better than Ryan and yet Ryan had the 2nd highest QB rating in the playoffs and the 2nd most TD passes in just 2 games. Sure he had the most interceptions with 3 but he also played a game against the Seahawks good pass defense. The Seahawks had the 3rd lowest QB rating allowed and the 2nd fewest TD passes allowed. Sure Flacco had a great postseason but let's not over blow it. Especially when the same people (coughswiftcough) is bashing Ryan in the process. ![]()
