This conservative thing is a myth, at least for this year's playoffs. Go look at the play calling, we didn't get conservative, we simply failed to execute, big difference.

I agree, but I wonder if we aren't getting conservative on defense with a lead. Unfortunately, I was too busy yelling to notice these last two games.

That's certainly possible, but much harder for us to ascertain. We did adjust defensively against SF, for example trying to roll Decoud into coverage against Davis but he was lining up wrong at times and trailing from the start of the play, and of course this is only compounded by the lack of ability to get pressure.

Ryan needs to have a performance like Flacco just had to surpass Flacco. He was that impressive and not only did he out play Brady and Peyton he did it on the road. Ryan has the regular season success but Flacco been money in playoffs last 2 seasons. I think now Flacco is going to be the focal point of Ravens offense.

Now for real talk.
I agree we were not very conservative in the playoffs. I think we will play angry this year. Smitty was so close. He wants it this year. I expect lots of fireworks. This is the magical third season for Julio. There is no limit for him. If tony doesn't come back than those passes will be distributed. We will see huge years from JJ and RW. If jones can learn to use his body over the middle he could be a terror in the red zone. We need more options there which is strange considering we had Gonzo for 4 years. Maybe Ewing can be a pass catcher short yardage specialist.

LOLWUT??

Matt has the most 4th quarter and last minute comebacks in the past 5 years than any other QB in the league by a large margin. There's not a QB in the game that's more "clutch" than Ryan.
