Over-fracken-paid. Sure, he won the Super Bowl MVP, but take away his defense (which happens next season) and Flacco is average. Don't believe me, go look at his actual numbers. Very average.

Now the actual good QB's (ie. Matt Ryan) are going to use that just as the minimum for new contracts and completely screw up our cap.

Nah this deal doesn't set the market. Most GM's are going to laugh at any agent using the Flacco angle. Just because the Ravens are super dumb doesn't mean the other teams will be.

Ozzie Newsome the greatest GM in football history. I am sure he will reload that defense. Even though he overpaid for Flacco he knows how to draft talent.

Joe Flacco is better than Ryan now. Slightly but he is better. His post season performance trumps Ryan regular season stat edge over him. Matt Ryan has 10 turnovers in 5 post season games.

top 10...MAYBE....and that is a a big MAYBE...I don't think he really did anything spectacular to get that deal....that said the gambled and lost....had they completely tanked it in a few of their last games or even the denver game....he would not have gotten paid that much.....

Personally I think the Ravens made a huge error not getting an extension after his subpar season.....of course we see how that backfired on the jets with Sanchez.....it is what it is....this is why TD won't wait on Ryan....whether he is ELITE or not....he is a great leader in our locker room....I believe we keep talent around him and get the team where they can play a full 60 (or at least NOT LET THE FOOT OFF THE GAS) and we will be ok...

our biggest downfall (as much as I want to say tackling.....I won't) our biggest downfall is the lack of the ability to go for the jugular and blow someone out without looking back.....if they are not stopping you...RUN THE DAMN SCORE UP....forget about the clock....and don't you dare go into PREVENT style defense.....just play the game you have played the whole first half!!!!!
