How many guys on the Falcons roster would you say care about themselves before the team? hmmm,...maybe Abe, but he's been a great team player. Can't think of any player like that so you're right on. And that's what is crazy when Falcons fans wanted T.O. or Moss. After what we went through with Vick,...it's just puzzling.

It would hurt a lot of feelings on this board if they truly knew the alcohol, drugs, women and other things that are a part of a lot of our favorite teams' players lives even though they think we have a bunch of like you call them, "choir boys". In my line of business I've had the privelege of hanging out with several NFL players, some you wouldn't believe if I told you, especially the things that go on behind closed doors! Choir boys too! You think Matty Ice got his nickname from volunteering at the local old folks home? Don't kid yourself. I don't care myself, as long as the players are there to perform on Sundays I could give a shit less what they do on their personal time. They're people like us and sometimes a lot of fans forget that and have them on some pedestal as if they are beyond human vices and tendencies. Blount has been nothing short of a model citizen in Tampa. People make mistakes, especially kids, and especially kids from backgrounds like Blount's. I guess being from the same type of environment biases my opinion but my life has taught me you can't judge a book by it's cover, sometimes there's more to the story and the "bad guys" deserve a chance at redemption. Back to football though, Tampa Bay has an explosive offense on the threshold of some really good things. Josh Freeman is the one I'm worried about but all the guaranteed bust talk of Cam Newton is preposterous. I think he's going to be either really scary or really mediocre but anyone writing him off is treading dangerous water. I'm proud to be a fan of a team that has such a competitive division. The only one I think is on par is the AFC North, even if Cleveland and Cincy suck divisional games are ALWAYS war just like ours. |

RE: ESPN 1st Power Rankings
Thank you for that post. As I'm sitting in my underwear drinking a beer reading this great stuff,...the stuff I did back in a day,...these kids can't touch what we did in an earlier day.
It's come to a point that, perhaps, there's no time for judgement about these kids. Hmmm,...the AFC North? It's owned by the Steelers and always will be. That's what's funny about this bs the Eagles being a dream team. Last year at this time they were touting the Bengals as being the sure thing to win the AFC North. "I could give a shit less what they do on their personal time." right on. Just win baby.

He was given a break by the cops and they only charged him with one ounce. That's usually a felony but they also advised Babs there's a new law in GA. I suggest you learn up on what intent to distribute means first off. Regardless, all charges were dropped. |
