He turns 33 Tuesday. Let's do this, Thomas.

Dunno. 14 games, a whopping 12 tackles, 5 sacks, 1 PD, 1 FF. And PFF rated him a -0.5 on the year. If you look at his stats, he's been on an obviously steady decline.

I'd rather go after Michael Johnson, Kruger, Michael Bennett, or Anthony Spencer. All top FA's that would fit in our scheme who played 800+ snaps and still rated 10+.

He was also forced to play out of position at 3-4 OLB.

This was my exact thought but I still don't know if I want him or not.

yeah, 3 of our guys on the D line would 32 or older, no thanks. Not to mention the fact that Freeney will be overpaid based on his name alone.

Any one of those guys would do the trick (you can add Kruger to that list as well). Here are the problems:

1. None of those teams will allow those players to leave

2. We would have to make major cuts to fit one of those contracts under our cap.

Don't get me wrong. I am all for it. I just don't know how to go about it.

BTW, Kruger will get paid more than Freeney.
