He's never been good as a HC. I know he was technically still the OC there too but I don't think the game has passed him by. I think part of the reason the Chargers offense regressed the last couple of years if because of Philip Rivers being a complete moron.

The Chargers are just 1 year removed (2011) from finishing the season ranked 6th in offensive yards per game and 5th in points scored. I think that hardly means the game has passed him by. Both of those offensive marks in 2011 were better than what the Falcons did in 2011. Just compare the Chargers 2011 offense to the Falcons 2012 offense.

2011 CHARGERS
Yards - 393.1 (6th)
Points - 25.4 (5th)

2012 FALCONS
Yards - 369.1 (8th)
Points - 26.2 (7th)

At this point I just want someone that won't come in and fuck shit up, I don't trust Norv to do that. Last thing we need is some dickhead to come in and blow shit up because he wants to implement his own offensive philosophy. Just bring in a place holder and let Ryan run the O.

That's a good fit, maybe he can salvage Kolb. He needs their DC to stay though, he's getting lots of interviews.

Geno Smith is meant to be no. 1 at present.

His Decision making skills are what they find questionable though.
