This week is probably practicing on fundamentals and basic schemes.

This. Hopefully he can squeeze two of the three into a single day and not be gone too long, but yeah we don't know who we're game-planning for yet.

RE: Coaches/GM Firings and Hirings Thread
From what I heard, the teams are coming to Atlanta to interview Dirk, and they are all doing it early this week. Hopefully they don't bleed into next week because Koetter needs to do what he can to get this monkey of the Falcons back.

I don't get the love for Koetter though. The Falcons offense is indeed stacked, and played well this year, but a head coach should have more than one year of success at the pro level before being given the reigns on a franchise.

RE: Coaches/GM Firings and Hirings Thread
The Falcons have plenty to work on. If they are wise, they will work harder than ever to come out and steam roll through the second season.

On defense, they need to work on open field tackling and communication. Nolan has plenty of tricks up his sleeve and our back seven will need to rehearse fake looks and coverage schemes. If they take advantage of the time, they can play even better than they have shown.

On offense, Koetter has purposely been very vanilla lately. More than anything else, they need to work on new blocking schemes. The OL has been the weakness on offense and the only way to overcome the lack of talent is to scheme differently to throw defenses off. Those blocking scheme changes require precise timing with the RB's, so they have plenty of work to do for the next two weeks.

NO REST.

Ill never forget hearing that Mularkey was acting like there was no way we could stop the giants front four last year.

Each year he has been there their offense and QB have regressed. He isn't the offensive mind he once was. Now he's just offensive.
