He wasn't as horrible here as he was made out to be, especially considering he was being asked to cover receivers for ten seconds while our pass rush was getting their nails done or their bikini lines waxed.

Yes he had a problem turning his head, that could be coached.

He could not be coached at the time if 3 freaking staffs couldnt get him to turn his head. Maybe he grew up or got motivated because he was cut but its not the teams fault he sucked so bad here.

He looks better in Detroit.... I think the OP is laying it thick saying the int was beautiful... Any int is good tho.

The Lions is using Houston at his strength... Mostly press man coverage... Ive seen the guy get burnt like he did here last year but i definitely think he is playing better.

Whats crazy is we are not using Dunta at his strength either.... This scheme is built for a guy like grimes... I was hoping that even tho they are 2 different CB's.... We would find away to let Dunta play more bump and run on his side but we are not doing that.

Lol well mines was aimed at you. And sorry your ganna have to put up with me wether you like it or not because I Love the falcons I love our owner. I was a fan ever since I started watching football And I dont quit on my team just because I dont like everything about the team. Im sure you have your opinions about your falcons as well.

you need to go read the rules posted here. you haven't been around that long, and i'd highly suggest you go read the ones about being not being disrepectful if you want to stick around.

i don't have a problem with someone having their own opinon, but telling a mod he needs a tampon is not gonna keep you around for long....consider that a warning.

when i've watched our games for the last few years with this staff, i've thought that more than once about more than one player, we seem to try to make players fit the scheme, instead of using them to the best of their abilities. I agree with having a scheme, but man, if you've got someone who excels at something, let them do it.

i'll throw out a name. Clay Matthews. It's been discussed over and over that he wouldn't have the impact here he's had in GB, because we wouldn't use him according to his abilities, and that thought goes right along with your comment.[/b]

But thats kinda different... A 3-4 is a totally different scheme... Different personnel then we have for him to be used to his maximum... I'm not saying change our scheme or personnel for one player.... I'm saying let the CB that plays press man coverage play more press man coverage on his side more... I know that not Grimes thing... Dont change a thing for grimes...

I get why we passed up Clay... Could we have used him ... yes... But in the scheme we currently run.... That would be a waste... Coverage is not his thing... If we used him as a rush LB most of the time and let him put his hand in the dirt on 3rd downs...

That could have worked but i dont think he would be the Cay Matthews we have today If we drafted him.... Probably a good player still but not the ultra impact Clay.
