RE: Carson Palmer Traded - Al Davis Still Alive
First round in 2012 and a second rounder in 2013 unless the Raiders win a playoff game this year. Then it turns into a 2013 first round pick..... Not sure on his age, but if he has 4 or five decent years left in him, this could make the Raiders a relavent team for quite a while. Terrelle Pryor will need to look elsewhere for a job along with Campbell.

Rise Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That will lead to a seriously tight locker room....

i'm with you on this one, with one exception: can anyone blame him for wanting out of that circus? but on the other hand, he wasn't forced to sign that new contract a few years ago either

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

If it were any team besides the Bengals, I might agree with you. Look at that OLs he had, and his WRs had their own reality show. That place was a nightmare. I'm amazed he had the success he did. Cincinatti is an awful, awful town. Ohio might be the worst place on earth next to Eastern Arkansas between Little Rock and Memphis.

People forget 2 or 3 years into his career, he was the next echelon after Manning and Brady. He's entering the prime of many QBs careers. If he's in shape and healthy, he could be very good. He knows the system, has talent, and a nice run game to rely on until he gets acclimated. He only really has to worry about San Diego, and I think the Raiders could beat them with Campbell anyway.

Circus maybe but the Bengals are better this year without him. His attitude contributed to that atmosphere.

Ill bet the Raiders tank with this prima gonna at QB.

Prima gonna? Do what?

I personally don't blame Palmer at all. The guy didn't want a dime, he just wanted out. It's a joke organization with a joke of an owner who employs a joke of a head coach.

Joke's on us they're 4-2 with the #2 defense in the league and a rookie QB. Ryan shows up to work everyday with the #26 defense and he wants to win. Palmer only plays when he wants to.

Yeah and I guess Barry Sanders was a quitter and bad teammate too. I remember when we had crappy ownership, we couldn't keep guys around, I guess they were all bad teammates too. Such absolutists. It's naive to think that bad ownership doesn't play a role in this kind of thing. Palmer was pretty clear where he stood, he wanted to play for an organization that wanted to win. He felt, correctly or incorrectly, that they weren't going to do that. So he decided to retire and let the team move on without him. He stopped taking their money. To me that's magnitudes better than say a Haynesworth who doesn't want to be there, takes the money anyway then becomes a big pain in the rear and a distraction for the entire organization.

8-8
8-8
11-5(0-1)
8-8
7-9
4-11-1
10-6(0-1)
4-12
4-12

Throw in every other player going in and out of jail, a non-stop circus atmosphere, consistent losing, and an owner that's more concerned with personal grudges than the team's success, and the only reasonable response is FUCK THAT.

don't forget for a couple of his years there, one of his prime WR wanted out too, then changed his name to the spanish words for his number, then went out and started his own reality show..... i don't blame him for wanting out of there when it was obvious that the owner really didn't care about surrounding him with a good supporting cast.

as for their number #2 defense, they've actually had a pretty consistant D since Mike Zimmer went there, SIGH, THAT'S where the joke is on us.

they may be 4-2 so far, but i'm betting they don't end the season with a winning record

Chew on THAT, Petunia!
