That's precisely the problem I was talking about. But you were wrong about the "evidence" and 2011 now weren't you? There were real "bounties" each year and not just "pay for performance" as you claimed. You wanted SOOO bad for that writer to be telling the truth that you made definitive bold unwaivering statements of supposed fact, that ultimately WERE wrong. Your constant expressing of these no doubt absolute fact type statements are why you're now in clown-status. |

Wow
That's as close to a death penalty as you can get. Can they appeal? If so I'm sure it will get reduced. |

Even if the Saints win the superbowl this year it doesn't change the fact that you're in denial. - For weeks you argued that this was not a bounty system but "pay for performance". Now the commissioner came out and specifically spell out that it was a system to injure players. - For weeks you went on that this did not happen in 2011. Now you're saying so be it. You're even in denial that you're in denial!! In Rumsfeld's words: But there are also unknown unknowns – there are things we do not know we don't know ... |

RE: Bye Bye Payton Saints lose coach and picks
This is just the beginning. The Saints don't know how to play within the rules and now they have no choice as they are being told that they must become role models in this regards. When they screw up in the future, and they will, there will be increasing repercussions.
At the same time the protected status the Saints have enjoyed from the referees since Katrina will also evaporate leading to additional frustration for the team. In particular I expect the league to crack down on late substitutions and other gimmicks invented by Payton that are designed to circumvent the spirit of the rules whereby a defense is supposed to get a chance to match up with offensive substitutions. Soon enough New Orleans will not be a fun place for the players or coaches any more and then we will see the rats start deserting the ship. |

Guido a troll or in denial? I wish that was the case. The fact is, Drew Brees, Darren Sproles, Jimmy Graham, Marquis Colston, Jahri Evans, and Jabari Greer aren't the ones who are suspended for the rest of the season. Losing Payton will hurt no doubt, but to dismiss them because of this or underestimate them is mere chickenfeed. Continue to laugh at Guido and the Saints, I'm more focused on the offseason (or lack thereof) we are experiencing.

Full punishment isn't over yet folks. The players involved are next.
Rumor is Shockey brought the hammer down on the Saints but some deny that.

RE: Bye Bye Payton Saints lose coach and picks
I'd say it is about 50-50 that Brees could be playing his last season for the Saints and if he goes then Graham goes too. Where are the Saints then?
