It is too early to say that Shiano is having a good first year. In my estimation he has already cost the Bucs one game and that is not good. I think he could easily 'lose the locker room' given his coaching style. Then again he could win Coach of the Year if TB sneaks into the playoffs mainly due to his 'lightning rod' personality.

You can tell those players love him. I have a friend who is a Bucs fan and of course he keeps up with it.

Early coaching mistakes were made but he seems to be a fast learner and is extremely smart. He seems to do well in the motivating department as well. I think he will have sustained success. It may not always show in the wins and losses, but he's got that team playing well right now.
