Bucs fire Raheem Morris

Their win against us was not very impressive, basically a contest of who wants to win and look the worst doing it. And wasn't the Saints win because they took out the head coach at the knees (hmmmm ideas.....)

Their defense just gave up the most yards and points in Bucs franchise history this season. I'm not so sure he's a better solution than BVG. I'd much rather have Spags.

Didn't they have a ton of injuries? How many guys did they have to put on IR? I think injuries had a lot to do with their season being so bad.

I was about to say the same. His defense looked wonderful when he fired his coordinators a couple of years back. PLUS, how much would he want a chance and beating up on his former team...

I'd much rather have Spags over Morris, but Morris would still be a fine DC for us.

If you want to get a DC, you have 4 choices:
A. Hire a fired HC, which obviously means his team had a poor year or several. You have to look past that and at the his resume.
B. Hire a fired DC, which means that he isn't DC material.
C. Hire a position coach, which is a mixed bag.
D. Hire a college HC or DC, which is a mixed bag.

I've always been an advocate of choice A, and so has Mike Smith/TD. You know what you are getting.

Youngry quite possibly could be the worst motto ever.

Other notable famous "Youngry" people:

John Wayne Gacy , Jerry Sandusky, Michael Jackson, Gary Glitter. TBD: Sean Payton.

i vote A. just a couple of names quickly come to mind, Rod Marenelli, Dom Capers...as references to prove your point. i know there's more, those two just jumped right out at me quickly. we definitely don't want a fired DC, he got fired for a reason. Pigtrino should have shown AB all he needed to know about hiring a college coach. as for position coach, i wouldn't be dead against that, depending upon who it is of course.

@ Jesus - freaking tease, don't do that to us.....Big GrinBig Grin

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

How about adding Wade Philips to that list? Look what he did in Houston this season.
