Stats go out the window for the most part in the playoffs. Broncos defense have been good, Broncos have been good. We scored 30 on the #1 scoring defense. We held Lynch to a low rushing amount after being gashed for most of the year. Things happen much differently in the playoffs. Always have, always will.

The mosy telling quote from Manning that I heard yesterday: "Playoffs are no different than a regular season game. If you have to prepare differently then you arent doing things right in the regular season."

I disagreed with this soooo much and it possibly explains his bad record in the playoffs.

I didn't hear that but that is simply not the case. As Matt Ryan said after the game today, "the playoffs are hard."

It's a different level of competition and it takes a different level of play to have success in the playoffs.

I get what Manning is saying. He was talking about preparation. If you work extra for the post season then why not work that hard during the regular season too. The alternative would be to consciously not work as hard during the regular season. I think his point was that you work as hard as you can for any game that you prepare for. I don't think he was saying that regular season and playoff games are the same.
