With Alex Smith playing so well the center of focus was starting to switch from Harbaugh to Smith. Coach Harbaugh couldn't abide that and so he created a QB controversy in order to put the spotlight back on himself. I'm sorry but that's quite possibly the single dumbest thing I've ever read on here, and we have a saints fan and falcon jedi. Harbaugh is a professional NFL coach getting paid millions of dollars to put the best players in the best position to guide his team to victory. Smith got hurt and Kaepernick had to play, but Harbaugh then thought it was in his team's best interest to keep starting him. Whether or not that was the right move is up for debate, but that's why he did it, plain and simple. And Alex Smith was playing at an above average level, but he's no Aaron Rodgers. |
