AFC Playoff Teams
The Bengals just beat the Steelers 13-10 in Pittsburgh. The Bengals clinch at least a WC and if the Giants beat the Ravens they'll be tied with the Ravens for the AFC North lead. The Bengals are in the playoffs in 2 straight years for the first time since 1981 and 82.
The Steelers fall to 7-8 and are eliminated thanks to the Colts beating the Chiefs. All 6 playoff spots in the AFC are clinched. Texans Broncos Patriots Ravens Colts Bengals ![]()

RE: AFC Playoff Teams
I only see 3 teams worthy of being able to win the Super Bowl there.

If the Texans lose him, that would hurt them bad, why they lost.

RE: AFC Playoff Teams
I only see two right now that can be hit and miss....NE and Denv...
We may be in a rematch with Denv....though the competition this time is tougher than our last Superbowl appearance... Can we confuse Peyton enough to beat him again? I think we meet the Broncos or Patriots....Texans have showed too many times they are beatable.....And the Ravens will falter.....CINC and Ind both beatable.... I guess we will see what happens... We still have to win 2 games in the NFC playoffs.... and still little clue to who will fill the WC spots.... I would like to see the Bears make the playoffs. I think they could beat someone in the first round.....could be interesting.....I would love to pound Cutler into the ground. I think Seattle vs GB in the first round....grudge match WASH vs Bears in the other?? If it goes like that we would likely meet Sea or the Bears......hmmmm. I don't think Minn control their own destiny...... |

RE: AFC Playoff Teams
Right now we are looking at Bengals v. Patriots and Colts v. Ravens. I could see the colts beating the Ravens but not the Bengals beating NE.

RE: AFC Playoff Teams
I don't see anyone in the AFC beating the Patriots. The Patriots only loss to an AFC team this season was against the Ravens and that was in their 3rd game of the season and the Ravens aren't the same team now they were then. The Patriots are 1-3 against the NFC this season and that's playing the weak NFC West.

RE: AFC Playoff Teams
NE has played a lot like us this year.....playing down to their opponents....I don't think SF is a powerhouse like everyone else thinks....I think Ne was sloppy and really should have won that game. They tend to win the big ones and struggle in what might be considered trap games.
I think Denver could beat them...but it just depends.....on which NE team shows up... but it will be one of those two....Indy won't have enough....the Texans will screw up likely in a one and done fashion unless they face the colts. Hell at the rate they are going they may not even get a bye week..... |

If the Broncos beat the Chiefs and the Texans lose to the Colts the Broncos get the #1 seed and the Patriots get the #2 seed and the Texans drop to the #3 seed. The Ravens are locked in at #4, Colts at #5 and Bengals at #6. ![]()

RE: AFC Playoff Teams
The AFC is such a weak field this season, especially with the strange nature of Arian Foster's health this week (reported as a heart problem?). The only thing notable about it is that the Patriots and Texans, to a lesser extent the Broncos, could easily lose to any of the lower seeded teams.
