obviously we had some heartbreaking 4th and 1 moments this year, some even drew the ire of the fans toward Smith.
My question to fellow Falcon fans (and Saint fan if Guido chimes in) is how would we as Falcon fans (and/or Saint fan) react if we had the chance to tie the Championship game with just over 2 minutes left, but instead went for it on 4th and 6, with a terrible play call?

Wouldn't it have been a 50+ yard field goal attempt though? In the dome I would want to kick it probably, but in Foxboro I'm not sure what I would do.

Looks like they might the right choice not kicking. Why they didn't just go for the one yard with the 3rd and 1 is the bigger question.

I would be pretty upset. But in fairness that would have been a 51 yarder and the guy is 5-19 from 50+ in his career. Kicking in Foxboro, not good chances. But either way, Flacco sucks. He couldn't convert it when it mattered most. Dude had chances, he just sucks. The guys QB rating for the playoffs is 66.2 and he's barely completing half of his passes. Get this guy outta here. The Ravens may just have a top 5 "team" but his performances are killing them, they'd be better off with Trent Dilfer back in there. At least he doesn't screw up.

LOL it turns out they would have missed it anyway.
Although I must say that if what happened to the Ravens just happened to us, we would be having a Chernobyl meltdown right about now.

Yeah we would, but they'd be killing Mike Smith on ESPN. Interesting to see how Harbaugh gets treated after that.

You have to stop comparing Ryan and Flacco in the playoffs. Flacco keeps winning in the playoffs Ryan just lays turkeys.

No one said anything about Ryan or Flacco until you just did, that isn't what this thread is about. but since you just did, Flacco just lost.

Also, by this logic, Tebow has more playoff wins than Ryan, so Tebow is the better Quarterback huh?

I don't want to side rail this conversation. But Flacco has not put a team on his back to get them the win in any of his playoff games. I really like the guy and I think he is damn fine QB. The difference for them playoff wise has been that where they have both struggled the Ravens Players have been able to take the strain make plays on both sides of the ball. The defense steps up and plays hard veteran Ravens ball.

With our guys, there has been so much else go wrong around Matt even if he is going wrong too, and it seems no one can right the ship. Now we know both QBs can do it in the regular season. But they have both yet to truly come alive in the playoffs. Flacco has gone further and more often. But the actual body of work is sketchy at best.
