I'd love to see Atlanta win the division, especially with an 11-5 record. I just think that you've gotta respect (it pains us all) NO a little more. They've got Brees. Fucker set records last year with his arm. I think we can beat them, but I think putting them at 9-7 is selling them a little short. I didn't really go through the whole thing because I don't really care to read into all that at this point. But if we get the fackers in the NFCCG. I hope we run up the score on them so fucking bad. 56-10 wouldn't be good enough for me.

I don't think picking the Saints at 9-7 is selling them short. I don't think their offense will be as good as last year. It will still be good because of Brees but Payton doesn't get enough credit for designing that offense. He won't be there. Well have to see if Pete Carmichael is all he's cracked up to be.

I will be overly disappointed. I also believe Smitty would be gone.

Smitty would not be gone. How do you get rid of a coach that has had 5 winning seasons? Other teams would snatch him up so fast Mr. Blank would lose an arm. We would just give him more (and better) tools to use and keep chipping away at the thing until it breaks.

As long as this train never goes backwards, you don't remove the conductor.

I agree. As long as we don't start losing games and missing the playoffs altogether Blank will have a tough time firing Smitty with no guarantee of an upgrade.

For why we won't get rid of Smitty, see the lesson learned department, 1983, exit Leeman Bennett after making playoffs 3 of 5 years, enter Dan Henning followed by Marion Campell (for the 2nd time) and a 9 year playoff drought.

Besides, Blank preaches continuity. If he is dumb enough to repeat that history he should fire himself. Good thing that he is not.
