2 Minute Warning Clock rule question
Does the rule reset back to 2:00 even if a play consumes more time? If a play takes the clock down to 1:40 does the clock stay at 1:40 or does it get reset back to 2:00?

And what happens if the play takes the clock down to 1:40 but results in an incomplete pass? Does the clock give back 20 seconds, or does it stay at 1:40?

it stays where it is at the end of the last play. in your example, it would stay at 1:40, heckuva play to last that long, but it would stay there. they don't put time back on the clock unless it's determined a play should have ended sooner, IE: player stepped out of bounds or pass was determined to be incomplete and the clock kept running...

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

RE: 2 Minute Warning Clock rule question
the play started before 2:00 mark, and rolled 1 second into the 2 min warning. So when the play is over, they stop the clock at the 1:59 mark.
