I have seen a lot of Falcons GM's in 25 plus years of being a fan. TD is by no means perfect but he has a solid plan and he is sticking to it. also considering this is his first real GM gig I think he is doing an amazing job. His draft picks have already panned out better than Mckay and he makes Reeves look stupid in comparison as far as personnel moves go.

Considering how well he has done so far I'm certainly willing to forgive a few mistakes along the way as he learns and gain experience being a GM.

I sometimes think there is a real lack of patience and understanding as to exactly where this franchise came from when being over critical of the current administration.

Everyone wants instant results, but also wants a long term winning team. We have been lucky with this administration, the back to back curse was broken and I think there long term plans are solid but that does not mean we might have an off year here and there.

I guess I see the point about patience but as I have said. I've been patient for 21yrs and I want SERIOUS resluts. I doubt seriously that we do better than 9-7 this year. Teams that are in the middle tend to stay there.

I hate to say this but I agree with you on going 9-7. I think this board would be in a better mood if we would of beaten the Steelers. We're a capable team but our coaching staff is holding us back. I honestly think we're to dumb to realize it, That's the sad part.

The boys played hard. That scares me. You play as hard as you did and lose.

The way I see it is, TD and Smitty had to totally rebuild the Team.
3 years is the quickest that I have ever seen a rebuild.
But that was still not a Total.

AB, TD and Smitty made a pledge to get this team rebuilt for the
long haul.
You have to be patient and allow for this to happen.

I like TD also but I think we can win with the talent we have, just Mularkey doesn't know how to utilize what we have.

This is not guaranteed and it sounds like an excuse to keep Blank from giving them heck when and if this process begins to backfire.

By the time this mythical rebuilding starts making a difference...half of the folks that are starting now WILL be gone. Year one was obviously a fluke. This year will tell. I want results......PERIOD.

Thank you, Now tell me...How can't you have a top 10 offense with Ryan, Turner, Norwood, Snelling, Ovie, White, HD, Gonzalez, ETC... We have weapons just Mularkey doesn't know how to use them the right way. Would it really hurt to give Norwood a darn screen pass to beat the blitz? Man, He ticks me off. I get so mad because I know how effective our offense can really be but he's holding us back.

Okay, now think back and reread a few posts...how is this not going to come down to a TD decision. You either get Mularkey and BVG players, or get better coordinators and that is only IF these guys don't do better.

The dynasty idea is good in theory when everything is in synch. We have an issue where we have great players and good coordinators and they are not in synch.

It this were really system specific then why are our players playing out of system?

You're right, Ultimately it comes down to TD getting the right guys in here. BVG HAD an excuse for our defense playing bad with not a lot of talent but he can't use that excuse anymore. Mularkey simply can't use that excuse he always had talent. I say if we have a bad season we have to get rid of both BVG and Mularkey.
