im not an expert, but if the CB is the guy you are looking to take down a RB in order to stop him from going 80 yards, something is wrong. how bout the Dline, LBs, or a Safety do what theyre suppose to do? when corners make tackles on RBs its a plus, not how the defense was designed.

Being an effective CB is about more than athleticism. Taking good angles is part of the mix

Let me ask you a two part question. How many Falcons defenders would you say had a bad play on that particular play? And.....how many posts have you made about any of them not doing their job on that particular play?

You could place some blame at Grimes feet, I don't think you can be objective and not.

But quite a few others muffed that play up, and one two bad plays in two games isn't enough to lose your job.

RE: My Brent Grimes Rant
Can't believe people keep ripping on Grimes when he got 6 INT's last year. Could of been 7 but there was that bull crap PI call against N.O. last year.....

Bottom line is that Grimes is our BEST corner.

I am not on the bench Grimes bandwagon.

is debatable and thats a great issue to have.
I think we have three starting CB until one proves me wrong.

RE: My Brent Grimes Rant
SportsFreak came on here and said the misfit was by Safety DeCoud, in the Pitt game. He guessed wrong and wasn't in a position to make a play. BUT you also have to look at Peterson getting blown up in the play and Coleman making a bad angle play as well. Ovie had a bad holding call, Baker had a bad holding call, and Keonan had a bad punt all to set up the Stealers in the first place, so the ending of the Pitt game was a team effort to screw it up.

In the Cards game, Spoon was cut blocked, tripped Anderson and then Spoon was laid out again once he got back up and tried to make a play. So Spoon was laid on the ground TWICE in one play that went 80 yards for a TD.

The idea that Grimes was in any way the responsible party for either TD is stupid. Be glad though we have good enough CBs to be arguing over who should start rather than who should be cut and replaced!!!!!

Ignorance can be educated.....Stupidity is to the bone.

No wonder he played lights out the rest of the game. He probably caught the red mist. Wonder if he'll a develop a John Henderson style get me going routine. That would be funny
