RE: My Brent Grimes Rant
Heck I've always liked Grimes. Remember that int off of Brees last year? He looked like Superman flying up in the air to grab that thing. Amazing.
But yeah he does have his detractors. Not sure why but he does. I usually just ignore those threads. |

RE: My Brent Grimes Rant
I have had to work hard everyday of my life and what do I have to show for it? This briefcase and this haircut! And what do you have to show for you lifetime of sloth and ignorance?
Everything! A dream house, two cars, a beautiful wife, a son who owns a factory, fancy clothes, and (sniffs) lobsters for dinner!

RE: My Brent Grimes Rant
Peyton you know I'm team Grimes with you and I don't get it either! - Every mess up on defense is Grimes fault what about the other 10 players who were on the field with him! SHEESSH!!!
Owens is a tackler but is not as good as Grimes in coverage! - And we need a CB that can cover Put it like this I'd rather have a CB that can cover and make tackles but miss a few every once in awhile - Then have a CB that is a hitter but can't cover that good!

I agree that it wasn't Grimes, but just because the staff says something doesn't make them right. They are more correct than we are because THEY are the ones who will make the adjustments. Lets just hope that their judgement is correct. I'm not all for "Staff is unfallible" in any convo. |

Considering they have more angles to look from, they know the exact play that was called, they know who has what responsibilities, etc. They can say for sure if one guy was out of position or did something wrong, we more or less can't. |

RE: My Brent Grimes Rant
If that is the way it played out - so be it, but I gotta tell you - as much as I love Grimes - and I do - he's one of my favorites - I would NEVER, under any circumstances make him responsible for handling Hines Ward acting as a blocker. Not any day under any circumstances. That, to me, is a huge mismatch. Grimes is probably the most athletic guy on the field - but he is not the strongest under any terms - and a big physical receiver like Ward - I just don't get it.
