RE: Mularkey cancels Denver interview
Very happy about this, now he has more time to concentrate on the falcons in the playoffs.

RE: Mularkey cancels Denver interview
I'm surprised that Holmgren isn't looking for a pure WCO style coach. That said, you know Mularkey is all about some Peyton Hillis. It might be a good fit.
I wouldn't touch Denver if you have to play Tebow. As much as I hate Elway, I think the Tebow factor will turn more candidates away. The organization has so much invested, you have to wonder if they are going to force the hand of any coach to use him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3CXS04cy...re=related |

RE: Mularkey cancels Denver interview
Cleveland will love this, considering they have a young QB and a big power back much like the Falcons

RE: Mularkey cancels Denver interview
That last post just made me think, if Mularkey gets a HC job somewhere there's a good chance he would bring several current Falcons assistants with him.

RE: Mularkey cancels Denver interview
Holmgren wants to install a WCO in Cleveland, so hiring Mularkey doesnt make much sense. He'll get interviewed but I dont see him getting hired there. Mularkey would fit better in Denver.

I haven't liked him or Shanahan since, and I was never a Broncos fan. I just think what the two of them did was crappy. Add in his prima donna attitude (same reason I don't like Eli Manning to this day) and I think "prick" is exactly right. |

I could see Elway wanting to install a WCO variant (probably more of a Shanahan/Gruden/Reid type than a pure WCO like Holmgren likes). |

RE: Mularkey cancels Denver interview
I'm not so sure Muluarkey could successfully take many people away from Atlanta. I assume the majority of people that came in when The Era began ere put together by Mike Smith and TD. Not really sure if MM is the kind of guy who attracts a travelling circus of staff. Also you got to look at the fact that with him gone (should it happen, we are likely to promote from within first) which means that there would be some opportunity within the ranks.
