Why change our system when its not broken??? I guess i can understand the justification for signing him but here's the thing i ask myself, Will we be getting Explosive, team playing moss? or are we going to get moss who's been playing like crap this year. I think the yards are like 8 games for like barely 300 yards???

I'd rather keep what's been giving us wins this year vs hoping Moss comes and just plays.

Well, I'm late to the party, but I've been thinking of this while at work.

First, to those downplaying his production; you are completely clueless, and it's not even close.

Yes, the Patriots have won without Moss, but let's look at how Tom Brady has done with and without Moss this season:
With:
4 games, 9 TD, 2 INT, 3 games with 100+ rating, 3 games with 70% or higher completion.

Without:
3 games, 3 TD, 2 INT, 1 game with 100+ rating, 1 game with 60% or higher completion.

Brady has been average so far without Moss. All those stats may not have been to him, but his being on the field, opened things up for the rest of that team.

Now, as to which teams could make a run for him, starting from the bottom, moving up:

Broncos: They're 2-6, but only 3 games back in what seems a weak division. They appear to be a prolific pass offense, and they're doing it with Lloyd, Gaffney, and Royal. Moss would be their best reciever immediately.

Chargers: Same division, they're 2 games back, and are hurting at the receiver position. As someone said earlier in this thread, Rivers would know how to use him. They'd feed him the ball, and keep him happy. Once Vincent Jackson comes back, if they're hitting their stride and making a run for the playoffs, they'd have arguably the most weapons of any AFC team.

Jaguars: 4-4 in the AFC South, and in last place. That division is tough top to bottom, and the Jags leading receivers right now are Mike Thomas and Mike Sims-Walker. Moss would open up the run game for MJD and allow Thomas, Sims-Walker, and Lewis more chances with single coverage. This team could use a boost if they want a chance at the playoffs, add in the fact that Del Rio might be on the hot seat anyways, could make sense.

Redskins: 4-4 in the NFC North, considered to be the #3 team behind the Giants and Eagles. Santana Moss and Chris Cooley are putting up yards, but no one is getting in the end zone. This could give them an edge in their division. They're also coached by Shanahan who has had success in this league(2 rings) like Bellichek, so he might have more luck in dealing with Moss.

Bears: It probably wouldn't make that big of a difference since they can't protect their QB, but their leading receiver is Matt Forte. They don't have anyone with over 30 receptions. Martz could be licking his lips thinking about having Moss in a Bears uniform. This is a team that will probably need a boost to get past the Packers.

Seahawks: Mike Williams I think has already won himself the comeback player of the year. They have literally no one behind him. Moss would give them a 2nd weapon in the pass game. That might be enough for the Seahawks in that division.

Jets: Moss is considered to be carrying baggage, there isn't a coach with a bigger ego in the NFL than Rex Ryan. In the last 12 months he has added Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, and Ladainian Tomlinson. I could see him adding Moss to that offense just because he could.

Patriots: There's no doubt that the offense was better with Moss than without him. He knows the system, he would start his first game back, and be effective. They're already getting a 3rd round pick for him anyways.

No matter how talented he is he was traded by one team then released by another. His attitude will turn off most teams. Any team in contention is already set as a team. Maybe they can use him but chemistry is important. If he goes to a loser forget it. He'll quit on them immeadiately.

Tennessee Titans will discuss trying to add receiver Randy Moss

With receiver Kenny Britt expected to miss a significant amount of playing time because of a hamstring injury, might the Titans look to fill the void with Randy Moss?

Coach Jeff Fisher said the Titans certainly would discuss the veteran receiver, who has become available this week on waivers or as a free agent.

"We're always interested in upgrading the football team," Fisher said Monday. "I'm sure there will be some discussions here this evening … I would venture to say that every coach — maybe 30 head coaches — are having discussions about him."

The Vikings waived Moss on Monday, with Coach Brad Childress telling his team that it was a done deal.

The Titans are expected to have injured receiver Justin Gage back in the lineup after the bye week. Fisher also pointed out that Nate Washington and Lavelle Hawkins made plays against the Chargers, and rookies Damian Williams and Marc Mariani are reliable.

The Titans would be way down the claiming order list should Moss clear waivers. Teams with the worst records get first shot to put in a claim for a waived player. A team that adds Moss off waivers would be on the hook for the remainder of his $6.4 million base salary.

Safety Michael Griffin and running back Chris Johnson posted on Twitter that the Titans should "get Randy Moss," but Fisher said their feelings wouldn't factor into the decision.

"I've had every player in the building come to my backdoor and say, 'Go get him. Go get him,' " he said.
