RE: Mike Smith said Jenkins "looks really good" for Sunday's game
Check it out.

This is going to be the only time I say this (again). Anybody who has a problem with it, should probably just stroll back to AFMB or jet on over to the Deviant Underground.

This is a going to be a civil board. Members are not going to be disrespected individuallly or in groups. Nobody here is going to define who is a good fan and who is a bad fan.

Maybe that sounds boring or repressive in some way. If it seems that way, it just means this board isn't for you. 99%+ of the people here want it that way, and that is the way it is going to be.

If you are not capable of discussing things in a civil manner, or you just don't want to, then this is not the place for you.

that said, im glad to have him back because he's good for 3 or 4 catches per game and we can move HD back inside against the aints crappy lbs.

That is exactly how I see it. And I also agree w/whoever said he needs to fight for the ball better, when he's got a defender right on him. Finn had a guy all over him when he caught that TD in the last game, and won the battle. Don't see that as much from Jenks.

That said, I am VERY happy to hear he might be back on the field this Sunday! Just another blade on our Swiss Army knife. Even if he is hurt to the point that the coaches don't want to target him, he'll make a nice distraction.

In 08 he had 5 receptions over 20 yards & 2 receptions over 60 yards. In 09 he had 5 receptions over 20 yards & 1 over 50 yards, not to mention the 39 yarder in the Bears game. 50 catches for 700 yards doesn't equate to 5-10 yard average.

On top of that, I went to a ton of training camp practices & got to see him (and everyone else) up close. Dude has fast as hell feet, crazy long legs & stride & can smoke it down the field.

If he gets left alone with a 5'11 CB chasing him deep, he gets the advantage, big time. I don't care if he drops it sometimes in those situations. His presence changes what defenses have to do because his size creates a mismatch and it allows us to put HD in the slot. And yes, Finn's size creates a mismatch too, but there's no doubt he will have a DB in his hip pocket no matter where he goes on the field. This is not always the case with Jenks.

+1 for stating the facts and figures. good post, thanks

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

All I can recall last year as far as touchdowns go is the NY Giants game. That one was bad, I will reluctantly admit that. . Lol

Does nobody remember what our offense was in 08? I cant spit number at you right now, but we went what, 11-5? Not too damn bad if you ask me, our D had Crisp Houston for fuck's sake and Brooking was showing signs that he lost a step. Lofton Was a Rookie! We were MUCH better with Jenks AND HD in the lineup. That little 3WR set with TG on the line is really going to be difficult to stop. There's sooooo many options now, I just hope MM continues to use them accordingly.

This is my signature.

Offense in 08 was 6th Overall in yardage, and 10th in points scored.
