That's honestly what I'm talking about. And he can do this much better than Finn. Can HD also do this? Sure, but again that's poor utilization of our abilities if that's what we do.

Yeah I wasn't really making a case in the argument one way or another, just having some fun with numbers.

I know that Jenkins is fast and I know that he could stretch the field, but I think he should be better at going up over CBs to get the ball than he is.

Oh believe me I wish to god he had better hands, ran better routes, & actually had some moves to get YAC as well. But oh well, what can we do at this point? How about use what he can do to our strengths & his. And who knows, maybe when we do have HD in the slot & Jenks is 1v1 with some CB 6 inches shorter than him, he catches a 30 yarder & takes it to the house a few times. He has the ability.

"Theyve" been doing this ever since we drafted HD. Some have been doing it since his second year with us based on the sole fact he was a high draft pick. Even after he got a nice extension, the train rolls on.

This season, though, with all the "big names" available via FA or trade bait to drool over, its gotten intense. Ive stated my case with numbers, hell tons of people have, the downplaying of Jenks will never cease. Latching on to one player, or one coach, is much easier than degrading half the team for the sake of argument.

Anyway, you arent alone. Trust me. I love what Jenks brings to our team but combating the bashing is definitely overrated. You would think, based on how quickly our new FO and Coaching Staff get rid of players they dont feel help us win, that Jenkins still being our starting WR is enough of a statement about his abilities and contribution. I wish.

Please quit lumping anyone who has been critical of Jenkins' play into this one mass hater movement. It comes off as very "Gazooish" and really does nothing for your argument.

Jenkins comes up with big plays in critical situations, he rarely lets us down when we need him the most. The time he seems to let us down is between those big plays. He drops passes too often. But that's something that can be fixed with some finesse.

I'm glad Jenkins is looking good to start, we'll need all offensive hands on deck for this week's game against the Saints.

He's dropped a couple key TD passes that would have put us up in those games. Those were pretty important. He's dropped some doozies.

In 2008, I would have to agree. For 2009 though, he wasn't coming up when we needed him to.

The quotes around "they" are there for a reason.

Being critical is different than incessant bashing at every opportunity, its been said enough. Sorry if you are offended by my terminology. As for my argument, you mistook my post for something it wasnt. My thoughts on Jenks are clearly known by anyone who cares to look. I am not too fond of saying the same thing, repeatedly, to make myself feel better.
