A DE in the 3-4 Round could end up being a great pick if Abraham can clone him.

No matter what, I'm gonna be scared of our first round pick. Ryan is the only one that has seemed to pan out instantly.

If Kerrigan is not there when we pick, I would still be happy if we were to get Houston because he knows how to hurry the quarterback and get tackles for loss when he was a 4-3 DE as well as his one year as a 3-4 OLB. I believe that he has a bigger upside than most of the other DE prospects in this years draft to become a premiere sack-master in the NFL.

Knee injuries will do that to a 1st round pick. A lot of people thought William Moore was a waste, but he turned into a beast sooner rather than later.

On paper, this draft as a whole looks like shit. Im not really excited about it this year. Im mostly interested to see who grabs Cam Newton - the Icon and Entertainer.

totally agree with Jedi here. all the juniors who came out last year made this year slim pickins, again another mock has us taking houston, that is a freakin JOKE. i'd pick Hankerson or Smith over houston EVERY TIME, we don't need ANOTHER 'lets turn a linebacker into a DE' pick wasted when we have some of those in camp already. if it was a legit DE, i'd be ok with it, but we need targets for Matt who can run the route, catch the ball and then get up field.

I don't follow. Didn't Houston play DE primarily in college and the one year they went to a 3-4, most of his work came with his hands in the dirt rushing in the passer? He's also 270 pounds. Nothing about him seems really LB like.

Not really a fan of either of these 2 picks. I'd prefer Kerrigan in the 1st over Houston. If we're gonna blow the 2nd rounder on a TE who's anything but a sure thing, I'd rather them package it with the 1st rounder to try to move up and grab someone like Quinn. This just isn't the year to find Gonzo's heir... maybe next season. I do hope we are able to land Edmond Gates or Cecil Shorts in the 3rd or 4th round.
