RE: McShay Mock
I know It's difficult to trade out of the #1 selection especially this year with no clear cut #1
player out of college. If they could, then it would allow them to select a QB later in the 1st round for better value. Just don't think thats gonna happen, not this year, but someone has to go first, so they may not get good value no matter who they select.

Whats the name of that kid out of Auburn... I forget, but he reminds me of Josh Freeman. Big and strong with good downfield passing, moves around the pocket good too. Maybe not #1,but round 1 material IMO.

Cam Newton is who you're thinking about. I like Cam, he's getting a lot of praise around the league. However, I'm also hearing that he will probably need to sit for some time and work on things. That's a tough sell to a fan base, especially since that means they will be trotting out some stop gap player until Cam is ready.

RE: McShay Mock
If I was the Panthers I would probably draft Fairley in the 1st, and then they could draft the best available QB with their 2nd round pick, maybe Mallet, Locker, or Newton.

No way Newton is there in the 2nd round. Mallet or Locker probably will be there for them though.

Sorry, we're not going to pick a guy who flubbed about a dozen snaps at center for Fla. this season. And I think he's over-hyped & riding his brother's coat tails. He's not half as good as his brother.

IF we go OL in top 2-3 picks, it should be a LT & we move Baker inside. I still think we go TE or WR at #1 though.

first part yes 2nd part no baker just completed his first healthy season i along with the rest of the orginization think he can build on this season. another year of core strengthening and mma training (helps the feet) which if you know anything you know left tackle is all about your footwork...

I hope for your sake he was injured pretty bad this whole season, because Baker was HORRIBLE this year.

Baker, at this point, is a bust.
