RE: Matt Ryan's Three Year Progress Report
You said we needed to get a true franchise QB. I swear on my life. It was only a day or two after we lost in the playoffs and we were all arguing lol
I'll have to search around tonight I guess lol

(02-08-2011 05:12 PM)ChrisD Wrote: I'll make one reply to this thread: On top of all that, there is no proof that Aaron Rodgers could come to Atlanta and play with this talent, in this scheme any better. For all we know, if the Packers drafted Ryan, they could have won the Super Bowl the last 3 years. it's impossible to compare a 3-4 team that runs a WCO to a cover two 4-3 with a power running game with a very simplistic route tree. The only thing you can legitimately compare is wins and losses, and until Rodgers won a Super Bowl, we were winning that comparison. But still, Matt has one 2 out of 3 head to heads with Rodgers. One thing I can promise that if Aaron Rodgers were in this system, he wouldn't be throwing 4K yards 3 years in a row. YAC are few and far between in this system. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3CXS04cy...re=related |

RE: Matt Ryan's Three Year Progress Report
For the life of me I will never understand why some people continue to say that Matt Ryan will never be as good as Aaron Rodgers--even though Ryan is 3 years younger, did not have the benefit of learning behind a HOF QB for 3 years, and has been in the league 3 years less. Oh, and none of these people can tell the future. I'm not saying Ryan will be great as Rodgers...but who the heck knows what his ceiling is after THREE years--right after a big step forward this year in one of the most important aspects of a good QB (great decision making)?!
But whatever. Ryan is our QB, and if he can find a way to throw it downfield more like he did in 2008 while combining his career-best decision-making of this past season, he will take a huge step forward. |

There is no validation in that comment what so ever. I tell you one thing Rodgers wouldnt have been embarrassed in a home playoff game like Ryan has ...Ryan wouldnt have torched our defense like Rodgers did..in my opinion Thats like me saying Ryan couldnt play in GB offense cause he doesnt have the arm to throw ball in tight spots or have the arm to get ball down field consistently .. which might be true ![]() I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Good info cooper. Too bad Crazy hijacked it again & destroyed yet another thread.
I'm beyond disappointed that the admin here continues to let one person ruin so many discussions. This thread should be maybe 2-3 pages of real communication among community members. Instead, I just had to click through 8 pages of absolute horse shit yet again. |

I find it hard to believe even the elite of elite QBs would throw 4k consistently in this system. Not to mention, our recievers are one of the worst in the league at getting YAC, which WCO's thrive on. This system isn't friendly for passing stats. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3CXS04cy...re=related |

Exactly. The sky is the limit for Ryan. People act as if it's too late for him to get better. It's like "he is what he is and that's it". As if he was Matt Hasselbeck or Carson Palmer. The kid is on the path to elite, and the facts this thread present show that. It's up to our FO, coaching staff and Matt to make it happen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3CXS04cy...re=related |

But it's not really the point. Ignoring him doesn't stop other people's conversations from being redirected down his path of insanity & likely off the actual topic that the thread was based on. This thread is a perfect example. We have a known insane person demolishing thread after thread & yet nothing is done because he's just smart enough to not break the big rules & occasionally make a valid point inbetween all the trolling & hijacking. What's ironic is the team we follow prides itself on keeping team continuity & cohesiveness. No bad apples. No drama-queens. No diseases or virus. The TD/Smitty filter in place. And yet, our forums are plagued by it's own disease. This forum's "identity" is going to end up tainted. If I were brand new just joining this place, I'd be laughing because almost every thread I click on has some clown who can't type coherently bashing my team while hugging other team's players nuts & the majority of posts from the rest of the community are simply replies to the same identical shit. It's a hassle to find real content worth a damn anymore. This place is an embarrassment right now. Look at the first page of threads, it's a freaking joke. |
