True, but I'm trying to no longer focus on him. Back on topic, here's the winning percentage, over the first 3 years, of each QB as well. Winning Percentage Marino: 0.805 Ryan: 0.717 Elway: 0.675 Brady: 0.667 Montana: 0.625 Favre: 0.586 Manning: 0.542 Kelly: 0.500 Brees: 0.370 Aikman: 0.368 Moon: 0.267 Young: 0.227 |

RE: Matt Ryan's Three Year Progress Report
These are all good stats and show the maturation of an NFL QB.....
Ryan definitely needs to work on his deep ball and moving defensive backs around with his eyes better. God, that Tramon Williams interception in the GB game was the worst ball I have ever seen Ryan throw. It had nothing to do with arm strength though....That pass was so obvious and telegraphed....It was just a piss poor decision.

Rodgers is 5 years in, and finally proved he can win the big games this postseason. Rodgers was a choker in the regular season and the playoffs until this year. The comparison between him and Matt is ridiculous based on the circumstances both QBs were placed in. Rodgers was placed in a pass happy system, Matt was not. Rodgers has 4 great WRs, Matt has 1. Rodgers has every advantage over Matt as far as system, having a HOF mentor, talent (offensive and defensive) around him. Rodgers took the helm of a NFC Championship caliber team, the other a team who's franchise QB was in Jail, and coach quit on the team. With all those advantages , stat-wise and number of wins, it's not like Rodgers is blowing him out of the water. I would expect a 5th year 1st round QB to be a little further along than a 3rd year. All Matt has to do is get a Super Bowl win in the next 2 years and he'll have exceeded Aaron Rodgers for all his accomplishments in his first 5. As far as talent goes, Rodgers may be more mobile, but I think Matt and his ceilings are pretty close otherwise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3CXS04cy...re=related |

Ah...just added him to ignore. How refreshing it is. Maybe someone should start a "I added $!#$%#$ to the ignore list" thread. Who knows how big that thread could get...

Obviously you're going to see the quoted text from the ignored person (which is indeed unfortunate). It just takes a bit of discipline. Once you realize that the person you're ignoring isn't worth a response then it actually becomes quite easy.

I can't allow members to simply ignore the rules because Swift constantly focuses on the negative. He's not breaking the rules. He makes some good points. Just ignore him if you don't like it. Thing it that is what the trolls do over at AFMB, they skate by the rules being careful not to break any rules at all while they are trolling around. It doesn't make them any less of a troll and at some point you have to look at the body of a users posts, if it is 95% negative all the time or focused of negativity towards one player all the time it is time to reevaluate that person. |

Regretfully, I have followed suit and placed the poster in question on my ignore list. I was hoping to not have to use this feature here. I can only take so much. I love the Falcons and to hell with anyone who doesn't! |

Rodgers was a choker in the regular season and the playoffs until this year. The comparison between him and Matt is ridiculous based on the circumstances both QBs were placed in. Bout to really destroy this post sorry Paulitik no offense First off Rodgers is in his 6th year as QB he sat three years behind a HOF QB who did not help him in his progression in Favre own words that WAS NOT HIS JOB So in his 3rd year starting he help lead is team to a SUPER BOWL ..and picking up MVp honors without a rb or a TE ..What do they say about those 2 things are a QBS best friend correct . Aaron Rodgers this years didnt have the likes of a pro bowl rb like Matt Ryan did or a HOF TE to lean on ..He did it with 2 very solid wrs and a bunch of wrs that fit the system Jordy Nelson (who has same stats as THE hated Michael Jenkins) both are 3rd options on there team .. If you dont know what that means it goes 1)Roddy & Jennings .. 2)Driver & Tony G 3)Michael Jenkins & Jordy Nelson add in Packers didnt have that running game to take pressure off there QB unlike the pro bowl RB we have in Michael Turner... Aaron Rodgers came into our building with a DEPLETED team (15 guys on ir) i know i know last year we used that as a excuse why we didnt make playoffs but Packers fought adversity and actually made playoffs and not only won 1 playoff game but 3 road ones and a Super Bowl...(while being on a injured team Onto playoff game in our building .. Ryan made the CRUCIAL mistakes that let the game get away from us . 2 ints and one brought back to house on a piss poor decision . while Rodgers basically played practice with our shitty ass defense.(TIME for you to start criticizing TD but you wont cause typical homer style) what homers do is well Ryan doesnt have weapons /doesnt have a defense but THINK TD IS A GOD ...its quite comedy that you guys dont see the hypocrites in yourself ..Maybe if you started to criticize TD for maybe not building the defense you guys would have leg to stand on but I guess I have to be Mr Negative Truth is Ryan will never and I say NEVER be as good as Aaron Rodgers..but Matt Ryan can be very good but we are looking for someone special to get us the ring we all want as Falcons fans Packers didnt find excuses to win a SUPER BOWL NEITHER SHOULD WE ![]() I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 . - Added by Phocis because of this post. Warned here. Do not remove. |

RE: Matt Ryan's Three Year Progress Report
One thing I think we can all be sure about going into next season (if there is one) is that Matt Ryan will be a better QB in 2011 than he was in 2010. He has continually showed progress over the course of his career. He is a student of the game and that's just something that no level of talent can make up for. He will do his homework, fix areas of his game that he sees flawed, and he will come back as a better player for the Falcons. If nothing else, that is something that we can all look forward to going into next season.
This is my signature. |
