Ryan and Mularkey fell in love with the short intermediate passing game cause it was effective . It controlled clock picked up first downs and kept chains moving and defense off the field..

Getting YAC also depends on the QB you do know that ..(IM PRAYING)

what makes GB system so successful is the accuracy of such QB and to put a ball into tight spots .. It also has alot to do with scheme and route design

so are you trying to say Paulitk you think a change at OC needs to be made for Ryan to finally grow into his position or you happy with Mularkey ?

We threw the ball 577 and ran the ball 497 times = 1074 plays
Pack threw the ball 541 and ran 421 = 962 plays
That means we ran 112 more plays than the pack with in the same 16 game season.
We outscored the Pack 414-388 and had 3 more wins. Our offense was one of the best in the regular season as was theirs. Our issue was defense.

We can't dwell on the playoff game and write off the whole season. What happened in the playoff game wasn't the result of one player or the offensive scheme, it was the result of a break down in all facets of the game. The Falcons turned the ball over too much and committed way too many penalties which was something they did not do all year. The offense never found its rhythm early which is important to Falcon football. Control the game early then finish it late. They did neither. Nothing worked. Tearing down the team and going back to square one isn't going to fix anything.

The offense is not going to change. The team is happy with it. It has been reported again and again that Smitty makes the decisions on how the offense operates and what the scheme is. Mularky calls the plays to match that. If you want the offense to change you're going to have to get a new HC. Which if I remember correctly everyone around here loves him.

Oh really? Seems to me, as of recent, the main problem that's been pointed to over and over again is the lack of explosion in the offense. So are they happy with it or is it not getting the job done? You can't have it both ways.

Cooper took a shot at Swift in the very first line of his post. Nobody could miss it or misunderstand it. Of course Swift was going to come into the post and respond.

Swift, you were brought into this thread deliberately. You had to defend your stance. It's been close to a month now of Matt Ryan downing from you. It is now your turn to create your own thread and talk about Ryan in it. If you a poached out of that thread, then you have 1 solid reply regarding Matt Ryan in that other thread. I and everyone else is sick of seeing it everywhere. Keep this in mind.

Beef, we can stretch the rules, but we don't. Some people appreciate that. I'm sure Swift does right now. It's known that your dislike for certain things about this site and some of it's people is understood. You nor any other member is required to be here. We all enjoy this place, some more than others. When you have a large group of diverse minded people, not everyone is gonna think the same.

The admins and mods know what goes on around here. So to say that it's not monitored or is going down the shit hole is mindless.

All this could have been PM'd, but I believe we can all agree that everyone is sick on Swift in every thread going on about Ryan. Swift, we know your stance, I promise you, we know.
