Matt Ryan is on pace to break a few single season franchise records
i was looking at falcon single season records today and it looks like the iceman will break a couple this season.
completions: (336 record set in 95 by jeff george) ryan has 300 up to this point. he'll shatter this one. he's on pace for 369. attempts: (557 record set in 95 also by jeff george) ryan has 475 up to this point. he needs 83 more attempts to break this one. he may not get it if we win out and rest him week 17, but if not he'll likely get it. he's on pace for 584. completion percentage: the best completion percentage posted by a 16 game starter is 61.5 (also by jeff george). bartkowski posted a 67.3 through 11 games in 84 and a 63.4 through 14 games in 83. ryan currently has a 63.2 comp %. wins in a single season: (13 by chris chandler in 1998)

Its kinda sad he is doing all this, and we are a 50/50 team and this use to be a run and shoot franchise.

roddy's also on pace to shatter the single season record for catches (111 by mathis in '94) and yards (1,382 by white in '08) but you guys probably already figured this with the monster season he's having.

What that tells me is that back in 1995 our balance was between either scoring quick or 3 and out. Contrast that to now when we lead the league in the number of 10+ play drives. In other words, I would bet that this offense has run a whole lot more plays than the 1995 one. I wonder where we stand in the NFL, I bet we're at the top in total number of offensive plays. |

RE: Matt Ryan is on pace to break a few single season franchise records
Matt Ryan is also on pace to tie an NFL Record: Most wins by a QB in his first 3 seasons, currently held by Dan Marino with 34.
Ryan currently has 31 wins. If we win out then Ryan joins Marino as the best QB in the first 3 years. |

Ryan is already top five in career yardage and TDs for an Atlanta QB. Another good year puts him ahead of everybody except Bart. Used profootballreference.com for stats.
