No Jedi, this guy didnt capture my feelings about today's game. I dont think my level of pessimistic vitriol will ever be on this guys level. Impressive display of directed anger on this one.

Furthermore I thought his musings towards the end, and talk of the best team in the NFC being determined today, was a load of sensationalist horseshit. It was still an interesting and amusing read though.

The Falcons power ranking isn't going to improve your personal income or make the hotties come out the woodwork when you're wearing a Falcon jersey?

The only goal is to win each week and accumulate enough wins to hopefully win the division or least a wild card spot, go deep into the playoffs and try to win the Super Bowl.

That's it!

No one here has last seasons week 6 Power Rankings pinned on their wall nor will they have this weeks.

I think, me personally, am left a little confused about this team now. Are we really as good as our record? I dont know. It kind of makes me think of the Pink Elephant in the room which is the missed FG by the Saints, and the last minute strip against the 49ers.

I ignored the 800 lb Gorilla because our stats seemed to back up a team that really has played solid. Until today. I just cant understand how a truly solid team can take a green runny shit like they did today against a banged up Eagle team. And it wasnt just 1 phase - it was ALL phases.

Whoever our Special Teams Coach is needs to be Fired immediately. The one constant in every single is game is we have catastrophic cluster f*ks on Special Teams coverage. This is killing us and it finally caught up to us today.I cant even go on because I would fill up a novel. It is what it is. The Falcons are unpredictable and have glaring weaknesses and we just need to take every win we get like a golden gift.

My expectations for the season have been diminished from today. Im not Expecting wins any more. Im just going to Hope for them. I just dont know what to think about this team.

I agree. Not sure how our ST coach is allowed to keep his job.

With all that said, Dale, i've said the same thing. When we win, we or on top of the world, and we can't be stopped. Everything is honky dory (sp?). When we lose, there aren't enough fingers in the world to point blame at the players/coaches/staff/management etc. We have been somewhat spoiled in recent years. From Pre-Vick jail when we were winning games, to our current regime now. They have found ways to win games, and we as fans feel entitled to win every game. When we lose, to me it feels like we just lost week 17 to go 0-16 with some of the reactions we get. People need to learn to take the bad with the good.

Very true Hart, they lost 2 of 6 and won 4 straight. There are no unbeatens in the NFL. The Falcons played like crap today and need to do some introspect on what they wanted to do today from the coaches on down to the gatorade jockeys. We fans have enjoyed 2 winning seasons and have come to be a little too high on the teams expectations and when they lose, it's like a gut punch especially when you get to watch them self destruct on national tv. Next week is another game against another opponent. The team will review this game, review the upcoming opponents games and prepare for next Sunday. Perhaps the game will turn out for the better. They'll be at home and the fans need to show up at the Dome... If I wasn't in CA(next door to Travis AFB) I'd be at the game...
