We've had ENTIRE seasons that resembled the first half against Carolina.

There is no need to be overly hyperbolic towards a single loss, it sucked, no one is happy about, we as fans can't do anything about it but it seems their is a complete inability for a lot of people to maintain any type of perspective.

And what perspective am I lacking here? I didn't say the season was in shambles because of one loss. I didn't say we were doomed to lose again in the playoffs because of one loss. I correctly called out a monumental lack of effort and fight.

This isn't supposed to be the "Same Ol' Falcons" any more if you recall. This team under Blank, TD and Smith is supposed to be about putting a championship level team on the field. The effort we saw was simply horrible in the Carolina game.

I've been a fan long enough to see the Falcons have those 3-13 years but those teams usually fought but due to a talent/coaching gap it didn't really matter. That is not the same as just not bothering to show up which I think any fan will admit is what we saw from this team for basically three quarters against Carolina.

I don't know if our boys were looking a week ahead to the Giants but there's no excuse to not show any fight. I can deal with losing like the Saints game where we tried but that debacle against Carolina? I'll call that out every time.
