Man, the fans are nearly pathetic right now.
We are losing to the Panthers right now. It's not quite half time, but getting close. Yet for some reason, I've seen 4 people now declare the Falcons are going to get destroyed in the playoffs. One, the game isn't even at halftime..
Two, what the fuck? The same guys who when we lost to the Saints said "It's a division game, it's expected". Get a grip people. Don't doom our season for playing a marginally bad half of football. I really hope some people in this fan base never have to endure a great section of life only to be hit with a rock bottom. We'll be seeing people slitting their wrists and throats all the time. Comical.

Our fans see the 11-1 record and expect their team to dominate a team with a losing record. While doom and gloom are not in order, certaily, there is justifiable concern. Our offensive inneptitude is exhausting our defense. My goodness! Our OL had better get its act together. Our offense needs to keep the football and march down the field. If our defense is forced to play more than 15 minutes, in the second half, Carolina will start to convert those field goals into TD's. |

What's really pathetic is our play on the field today. Disgusting. This is as bad as any game I've ever seen the Falcons play and I've been a fan since Bartkowski was handing off to Andrews.

RE: Man, the fans are nearly pathetic right now.
This game, through 3 quarters, has been decided by 3rd downs. Falcons are failing on both sides of the ball, while the Panthers are performing well. Aside from that, there are the usual problems with the O and D lines. Can't fix that this time of the season, but hopefully execution of critical plays can at least make this game closer.
This last half of the 3rd quarter has seen the Falcons make stops and convert 3rd downs. More of this please. Edit: Offensive line fucking blows. |

I'm not questioning if people are fans. I'm simply saying, take a damn breather. It's one loss. I'm not sure how anyone can rest the entire season on a loss to the Panthers in a divisional game. Anyone in this division can beat eachother.

Yeah there's no need to declare our season is over just because of one shitty game. I, however, get a little pissed off when I express just a tad bit of disappointment, and all of the sudden some person swoops in and declares that I'm not a true fan because I dared to speak out about some of our problems, rather than just sit there in ecstasy about the great season we're having.

49ers tied and lost to the Rams....divisional games happen. Actually Im not sure why any of us are trying to reason with people who equate this to an inevitable loss in the playoffs.
Im done. Im just letting people deal with it how they want and Im signing off |

I think that viewers see a good team that does not fire on all cylinders. The hope is that this team can get it straight in the play offs. |

Re: Man, the fans are nearly pathetic right now.
I fully expect a meltdown by a contingent of the fanbase, it always happens.
As for the loss it was disappointing but would rather play like this now than a month from now. If anyone was reading their press clippings maybe this loss will set them straight. Of course the media and talk radio will be off the charts this week. Also it didn't help having half of our secondary out. |
