RE: I still love my football team!
The defense scheming was well below par. Whether it was because Owens was too inexperienced or because the D-Line was owned by the O-Line of the pack it falls on Van Gorder. The O-line also fell apart giving up 6 sacks is inexcusable for a unit that played so well throughout the season. At least ST play was worthy of a TD. This team needs a rocket legged, velcro handed WR that has grease on his hips to elude the DB's. This team also needs Asomuagha ASAP and a good nickel back. There is also a need to replace the Man we know as JA55. He may have just played his last game as a Falcon. Yes, he is Pro-Bowl worthy for his season long play, but he has been hurt the past few games and played hurt all game tonight.
The way I see it, a new DC; a WR, a shutdown corner, a DE, and, maybe a few new OL players. TD needs to re-evaluate the existing talent if this team is serious about winning a title any time in the future. The draft is not the answer at this point. Or, maybe a lockout for 2011/2012 might help the personnel some.... |

After shitting out 60 million for him, you can't expect to sign the best defender in the NFL (that's right, fuck you Revis) for anything that wouldn't be an NFL record. Granted he's 29 years old, but I'm 99 percent sure Robinson/Grimes will be the duo next year. We need pressure up front. We need an explosive end. We need a LB that can come on blitzes and drop back and cover the middle of the field. Then we can look at depth in the secondary. |

I'm thinking I never want to see the #1 seed again, regardless of how cool it is supposed to be. Between 1980 and tonight, Fuck the #1 seed!

RE: Thanks for a great year Falcons!!
Look at the Dome ceiling.... We raised a banner this year. There are few enough of them up there to look down upon earning one.
Thanks for 13 great weekends this year Falcons! The sting of this loss will be hard, but not having to experience many losses this year just has me spoiled. Next year won't get here soon enough. Formerly SBC Falcon

RE: Thanks for a great year Falcons!!
This day hurt terribly but I do appreciate the effort that the Falcons gave this year. Obviously there is still a lot of work to do, but I believe in this team. Thank you Falcons. We will see you next year.

We had a great year, and we won the NFC South and were getting better.
We had a great year, and we won the NFC South and we have gotten better every year.
I pray and hope, TD get this right, we will be back. We just need to do another overhaul defense and offense.

Well we actually got worse last year but we still have a decent foundation in place, TD & Company needs to make the right moves to take this team to the next level.
