Completely wrong in this thread as well. When we blitz we usually get pressure. We made Brees play his worst game of the year that way and even tonight the few times we did blitz we got results.

Seriously, that's the funniest post I have ever read....the dude is like leading the league in sacks and you say he would be a "hard fit for out defense"....LMAO...what is he too melanin challenged? And he never "started" at USC?.....pleez....but hey, we got Peria Jerry.

Every game is different - tonight for example, when we sent the blitz the Packers did a very good job of picking it up. The few times the defender had a free shot on Rodgers, they would whiff.

Owens. I say Owens. He started the downhill trend. We had a stop, and he blew it. It was like a chain reaction. I should say the whole team for not executing, but hey I'm mad and I'm focusing all my hate on one guy tonight.

That 3 man rush was pissing me off. It was like we went into prevent D on every 3rd down. And we all know the only thing prevent D does is prevent W's

RE: Who do you blame?
Matt played awful, and lets face it, the pick 6 doomed us. But 2 Ints can be overcome. Our defensive scheme can't handle elite QB play. Our Offense can't overcome a 3 score deficit. We really need to consider some wholesale philosophical changes on Offense and Defense. We were capable of beating that team. We have before. We can't handle the spotlight. Mike Smith needs to do something, or end up being the next Leeman Bennett.

Patrick Willis wasn't even considered a 1st round pick by many until his combine. JA98's measurables were unreal. He was super young, 6'6 280lbs and he actually performed better than Mario Williams did at the combine. Along with having a very good season in college for his junior year. I still wonder if maybe it's our coaches that aren't coaching JA98 the way that he needs to be coaches.

The little I knew of JA98 back then was that he was raw, only 1 year at DE converted from being an offensive player and had a lot of upside. I knew DE was a need because Patrick Kerney left for seattle but what I saw from Patrick Willis from the combine and his play in College was that he was a BEAST and would've loved to have him at #8 once Peterson was off the board. I didn't know much about Derrelle Revis but looking back he would've been a great pick there as well.

(01-16-2011 12:48 AM)Chuck Norris Wrote:  Sam Baker was laughing on the sideline.

I know, this sounds like the Derek Anderson situation and all... but how could he possibly be laughing? As fans, we were all sitting here depressed out of our minds and the players can just act like it didn't happen? Maybe I'm weird, but this rubbed me the wrong way.

Because as fans we put much more into what happens on the field than the team does. Their job is to go out there and knock years off their lives for entertainment value and our job is to live and die by that. It was a shitty game and he probably did not have a good time playing in it, but when you're at your job and something bad happens don't you try and find a laugh here or there to lighten the mood?

Because Sam Baker knows that whether they win or lose he still can go back home in his luxury car to a million dollar house sleeping next to a hot babe. But yeah his laughter got me a bit angry as well.
