A handful of well-placed sources have told us that Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan got married over the weekend on the Georgia coast.

One source, whose family owns a place on Sea Island, told us Sunday that she had spotted Ryan leaving The Cloister, the resort on Sea Island, on Saturday night following the wedding.

Sea Island is a private island accessible via guard house only to resort guests, homeowners or people employed on the island. The site of the 2004 G-8 Summit, it’s a good place for a private event.

Update: We have a few more details!

Our source heard the wedding band play “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours),” and got a peek at the reception site. The decor was simple elegance – small, high-top tables with brown cloths and glass hurricanes filled with shells. Lights strung from the two Beach Club buildings over the terrace where the event was held twinkled above the festivities.

Another source says the new Mr. and Mrs. Ryan used the code names “Kevin and Sierra” to throw off suspicion. From the size of some of the wedding guests our source saw, it sounds like some of Ryan’s fellow NFL players attended. On Sunday morning, after valets loaded luggage into a big black Navigator, Ryan appeared and shook hands with all of the staffers. Nice guy!

Yet another source, who was attending a conference on adjacent St. Simons Island this week, told us that a clerk at an establishment down there told her they were getting ready for Ryan’s wedding Saturday morning.

We’re working to confirm this officially, with Ryan’s agent or the team. He said last fall that he and longtime girlfriend Sarah Marshall had gotten engaged, and planned to marry in the off-season. Here is that story.

Congrats to Matt this will be his 2nd dumbest mistake ever , with his first trying to squeeze a throw in that got returned to the house in our Playoff game . They always say love is blind and it def comes to mind when you see Ryan wife cause she is ugly . To me if your a starting NFL QB with $ you should be out there having a good time but that is what is great about Ryan is we don't have to worry about his name coming up In any scandals in the newspapers or ever have to worry about him but Congrats to Matt hope he gets us a ring sometime soon .

I don't want my comments to take away from him getting married good for him and FalconMK I'm just calling a spade a spade I think his girl is ugly . I'm sure there are plenty of others that don't find her middly attractive but won't speak there mind that's cool I speak mine

I hear ya phocis I was almost there . Hey if you find the one you want to spend rest of your life with good for you man. I just think as a society we put to much into who getting married and what not and if you look at the divorce rate in this country you have to wonder does any marriage last forever I know there are some but these are rare .

Many people marry and have no clue what it truly means. Others marry and are not mature enough to be married. Marriage is a great thing when its understood.

Sarah isn't ugly at all. Its his type. He likes cute sporty girls andgot one.

Why should Matt need a supermodel that would eventually cheat on him and steal his money?

It's all good. I think this lack of free agency is making me cranky. But seriously there is like one grainy picture of this girl out there and she doesn't even have any make up on. I'll withhold judgement and just say congrats. I'm glad we have a qb thats can stay low and just do his thing without the media.
